OUR STORY

The founder of NOVA MASKA, Ewa Niedźwiedź, is a summit-notch Makeup Artist, Wigmaker, Stylist and Teacher. Her expertise comes from her work in opera houses in Poland and abroad. While directing the makeup team in Teatr Wielki in Poznań she was a part of Makeup, Wig-making and Characterization School "MASKA", and managed her own Makeup Studio and Original Costume Rentals – Atelier Kulisy. Using the feel of over x years as an instructor and considering the rising demand for professional and comprehensive training in Makeup Artistry, Ewa Niedźwiedź decided to realize her project, based on an authorial program.

NOVA MASKA is a creative mixture of Theatrical and Film Makeup, Hair-stylization and Wig-making. A recently renovated venue with a rich, over 100-old tradition was adjusted co-ordinate to our students' needs. Ewa Niedźwiedź filled the rooms of the previous Bismarck-tunnel with the sublime magic of theatre. EWA NIEDŹWIEDŹ

Makeup artist, Wigmaker, certified practiced of hairstyling, teacher. Passionate about her work, and a major theatre addict. Performing at amateur theatre since childhood brought forth her predisposition for art. She took part in numerous festivals and competitions receiving many titles, amid them Theatre Instructor. However, she speedily decided it was non her side of the phase. She was much more fascinated past what happened backstage.

Educated under the critical eye of the best makeup artist and wigmakers. She gained her first professional experience in Musical Theatre in Poznań, Musical Theatre in Szczecin and the Silesian Opera. All the same, Teatr Wielki in Łódź was the place where she truly flourished. There, she met authentic artists of her arts and crafts and received her master craftsman's diploma. Through 11 years of her work on opera performances in Łódź she participated in numerous tours across Europe. Ewa collaborated with many Polish, German language and Dutch Opera Houses. Her skills were besides used to create stylizations for concerts of the best singers course the Polish music stage. She left the theatre in Łódź, invited by manager Sławomir Pietras to Teatr Wielki in Poznań. She terminated her 17 years of work in the theatre to open a magical place in the heart of Poznań – unique at a national level Makeup Studio and Original Costume Rentals – Atelier Kulisy.

While she was nonetheless the manager of Teatr Wielki's Wig and Makeup studio, she co-created Makeup, Wig-making and Characterization Schoolhouse "MASKA", where she has trained future Makeup artists and Wigmakers. In 2016 Ewa decided to change the schoolhouse'south location. KARINA ANTKOWIAK

Professionally and with keen passion, she deals with makeup, SFX and bodypainting. In her work, she combines experiences from all these areas to create unique and spectacular characters.

Equally a make-upward artist and sfx makeup creative person, she cooperated with many companies and institutions in creating films, performances, programs or advertizement campaigns, incl. With: Centrum Technologii Adiowizualnych we Wrocławiu, Domino Films, Grupa Filmowa Darwin, Telewizja TVS, Taco Media, GetHero, Teatr Trip, Teatr Mały w Tychach.

Graduate of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, majoring in cultural studies with a specialization in theater.
In 2010, she graduated from the School of Make-upwardly, Characterization and Wig "Maska", and developed her skills under the supervision of Ewa Niedźwiedź during the Wigs and Fashion Haircuts course.
She gained her professional person experience working at the Yard Theater in Poznań, as a makeup artist, every bit well as on numerous projects, incl. photo sessions and stage brand-up.
